Not that long ago at the SummerSlam presser, Paul Heyman affirmed that The Bloodline’s tale is currently wandering around in the bottom of the third inning. Taking that into account, Cody Rhodes just did something on RAW that Roman Reigns and his Special Counsel certainly won’t like.

After opening this week’s show, The American Nightmare explained the rationale behind bringing Jey Uso to the red brand. Rhodes iterated that he ain’t best friends with the 38-year-old. However, the former might have something up his sleeve regardless.

Following that statement, Cody dropped a bombshell, saying he thinks that “we’re not in the third inning anymore, boys.” That was a direct jab at Heyman’s aforementioned prophecy about where The Bloodline’s story currently stands. Also, Rhodes mentioned that someone is about to be traded to SmackDown to nullify Jey’s advantage over RAW.

That said, who knows if the person entitled to a swap is none other than Cody Rhodes himself? In the process, one would imagine that The Prodigal Son is gunning for his rematch against The Tribal Chief. As for Jey’s situation, there’s tension boiling around in the locker room, and his fellow superstars have not accepted him. If anyone trusts Jey, it’s Cody Rhodes.

The Judgment Day yet again interrupted Rhodes’ promo on this week’s RAW. Just when the group tried to march towards Cody, Jey Uso arrived at the aid. Still having a 2-on-3 disadvantage, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn emerged from the crowd to force The Judgment Day to back off. However, JD McDonagh blindsided the babyface, resulting in an all-out brawl.

Cody Rhodes might have a huge match at this year’s Survivor Series

Although there have been countless rematch combinations involving The Judgment Day up against Owens, Zayn, and Rhodes, they seem far from over with each other. This time around, Jey Uso is a new introduction to the team of babyfaces. On the other hand, JD McDonagh is trying to get officially recruited by Judgment Day.

There’s a developing 4-on-4 rivalry between the mentioned combustible elements on the red brand. WWE seems to have feuded for a little longer than many fans would expect. With the Survivor Series in November, there might be a WarGames this year too.

The potential WarGames match might feature The Judgment Day against the team of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn. During last night’s main event, Damian Priest and Finn Balor retained their tag team titles against Zayn and Owens following a cheap shot to Sami by JD McDonagh.
