The entire sporting community is appreciating the pro-active approach of NFL officials from Monday night. After Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a catastrophic cardiac arrest mid-game, everyone got panicked. However, the officials made the right call and decided to suspend the ongoing game between Chicago Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.

Now, FS1’s host of ‘The Herd of Colin Cowherd’ has commented on the situation. Praising the urgency displayed to call off the match as soon as possible, Colin Cowherd acknowledged the NFL officials. Mentioning how at times of crisis, communication becomes absolutely hard, he just questioned the timeline to make the decision. At the end, the former ESPN host cleared the air and said that it might’ve took some minutes to convey their message on-field.

Then, he scrolled through history books and recalled Owen Hart’s WWE death. While on NFL’s side, Colin commended their humanity to suspend the game after Damar’s tragedy, he bashed Vince McMahon for mishandling Hart’s demise. For the unversed, back in 1999, Owen Hart met a disastrous conclusion to his life. While performing his entrance on a 80-feet high rafter, the Canadian wrestler fell victim to a catastrophe and fell miserably.

The equipment on which he’s supposed to land safely in the ring, malfunctioned. The WWE Universe witnessed a live death in front of their very eyes. The tragic fall to the ground succumbed Owen Hart to death. Despite the mishap, Vince McMahon decided to continue the show as if nothing happened. According to the allegations levelled up against the 77-year old, he was involved in multiple hush money scandals. The accusations were made to the level that forced McMahon to temporarily vacate his CEO and Chairmanship of WWE.

The eventual belief was that Vince would be back once the investigations are done. However, amidst of the ongoing inspections, the increasing pressure of the other stakeholders and people close to him, Vince McMahon finally stepped down his throne, permanently. In a move that nobody saw coming, the man who ruled this industry for nearly 4 decades, announced his retirement.

Since then, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been promoted as the joint-CEOs of the company. Also, Triple H is now acting as the creative lead and Chief Content Officer. The post-Vince McMahon WWE has been a refreshing one to say the least. The successors are effortlessly leading the current product to everyone’s delight.
