Jey Uso dropped a bombshell last week on SmackDown by announcing that he was leaving WWE. After Jimmy Uso betrayed him during the Tribal Combat main event at SummerSlam, he apparently had enough. Therefore, he made the shocking decision to exit the company after laying out the entire Bloodline. The situation was addressed during the most recent episode of Raw.

The WWE commentary team on Monday Night Raw made a mention of it, shedding light on the situation. The new announce team for the show, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, discussed Jey Uso’s current status. Cole stated that there was a lot of confusion surrounding the 37-year-old. Meanwhile, the former Nexus leader emphasized that the UCE had enough and decided to leave.

Many believed that this wasn’t true and that he would return soon. However, this wasn’t the case, as the promotion’s official website moved the 37-year-old to the alumni section. Barrett pointed out the same out on commentary.

One of the other notable aspects was that the advertisements for future events that included him have also been removed. Since he dropped the announcement, the former Bloodline member has been radio silent.

Moreover, neither Roman Reigns nor Jimmy Uso have responded to the matter as of now. With the entire story seemingly taking a breather, according to reports, it will be interesting to see how the next few months play out.

Will Jey Uso appear in other rival promotions?

After Jey Uso’s shocking revelation last week, fans have been left wondering about his situation. Some have suggested that since he is a free agent, the former Tag Team Champion can sign with WWE’s rival promotions. Moreover, the prospect of him appearing in companies such as ROH and NJPW can be exciting.

A lot of comparisons of this scenario have been drawn to CM Punk‘s exit after Money In The Bank 2011. Unlike that case where the Second City Saint ended up returning in two weeks anyway, WWE has the opportunity to play their cards right here. Jey Uso can briefly wrestle for other promotions for a while.

The Bloodline story has grown “stale”, according to many fans online. Therefore, this angle could actually rejuvenate the storyline and keep fans on the edge of their seats. Needless to say, only time will tell whether the company makes this bold move or not.
