WWE has already taped all the action for next week’s Smackdown last night itself. The company will head to Saudi Arabia after wrapping up Monday Night Raw tapings. They’ve packed up a loaded card for Crown Jewel and the event promises to add some thrill in our routine. It will start at a special 12 noon Easter time, this Saturday.

Before we get into a deeper look for the Saudi mega-show, let’s read the complete happenings that you’ll see next week on Smackdown. The pre-announced matches for next week included Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville in a NO Disqualification match, also an Intercontinental Championship battle between Gunther and Rey Mysterio.

First of all, we got ourselves an epic spotfest between Morgan and Deville. Fans in attendance noted it to be a nice back and forth contest with some brutal chair spots. The ending saw Liv Morgan pick up the win over her counterpart courtesy of The Oblivion finishing maneuver. Next, LA Knight defeated Ricochet through some assistance from ring ropes.

The Usos’ self-enhancement promo ceremony got interrupted by The New Day, who claimed their support for Brawling Brutes at Crown Jewel. They even got physical and the Samoans got the better of this exchange. Then, Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya in a non-title match. Braun Strowman ran through 5 local talents of MVP’s choosing in a match.

In the main-event, the prestigious Intercontinental Championship was on the line. Rey Mysterio got the honour to fight for the title against The Ring General Gunther. Despite being a squash considering the side difference between the two, bout was highly competitive and worth placing to close out the show. Gunther retained his title in a great match

You maybe wondering about where the hell did Roman Reigns got mentioned reading all the spoilers above in the article. Well, to what can be counted as a disappointing news, Roman didn’t come out for anything in the ring for next week. This doesn’t means that he won’t be featured in any way on the show.

Quite possibly, WWE will shoot his backstage segments on Smackdown building up to his highly anticipated title defense at Crown Jewel against Logan Paul. We haven’t seen them getting physical on WWE television even once in their feud.

The Tribal Chief will be there on Raw this week on the Halloween special edition. The Maverick’s appearance for the show is still unknown but he should be there. We can realistically expect something between them coming Monday only. They’re heading to the middle East for arguably a huge money match, with somewhat lesser grudge.
