Judgment Day has been dominating Monday Night Raw for a long time, but recently, there has been some dissension among its members, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. WWE marches down the road to WrestleMania, these internal cracks are becoming increasingly exposed.
The recent catalyst for this division stems from Damian Priest accusing Rhea Ripley of letting the success of gracing the cover of WWE2K24 get to her head.
In a backstage segment on this week’s Raw, tensions flared as Priest confronted Ripley. He clarified his stance, stating he’s not seeking needless fights, asserting that handling Drew McIntyre falls under his domain. Archer of Infamy criticized Ripley for her perceived arrogance and emphasized that he doesn’t boast about being on the 2K cover. He urged her to refrain from frequent visits to Pearce’s office, assuring her that Judgment Day matters were under control.
Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley clashed due to a Judgment Day power struggle. Drew McIntyre’s recent interferences, particularly in thwarting several of Priest’s Money in the Bank cash-in attempts has not sat well with the latter. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley urges him to avoid provoking McIntyre further, exacerbating the tension within the faction and setting the stage for an explosion within Judgement Day.
Following Damian Priest’s recent loss in a match, Rhea Ripley didn’t waste any time subtly taking shots at him. Her pointed remarks, laced with underlying criticism, have added another layer of tension within the group. With cracks widening and the internal strife escalating, the stability of Judgment Day appears to be hanging by a thread.
R-Truth’s interference costs Damian Priest victory in the main event
In this week’s main event between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre, the unexpected interference of R-Truth injected a wild and unpredictable element into the high-stakes clash. As R-Truth made his way to the ring to deliver Priest his merchandise cut, tensions quickly escalated. Priest, seemingly frustrated with the interruption, shoved R-Truth down, setting off a sequence of events that would alter the course of the match.
R-Truth, undeterred by the shove, humorously suggested placing Priest’s share in the Money in the Bank briefcase, introducing a comedic twist to the unfolding drama. However, the distraction proved costly for Priest, as McIntyre took advantage of the chaos to deliver a decisive Future Shock DDT.
In the final moments of the match, Priest, visibly irate with R-Truth’s interference, threw him out of the ring, only to fall victim to McIntyre’s devastating Claymore Kick, sealing his defeat.
R-Truth’s unexpected interference proved to be the decisive factor in Damian Priest’s loss against Drew McIntyre. However, as Raw went off the air, R-Truth surprisingly amended his blunder. Fans anticipate how the ongoing tensions and R-Truth’s involvement will impact Judgment Day’s future on the road to WrestleMania.
