Dakota Kai returns to WWE at SummerSlam
Dakota Kai is one of the talented female wrestlers in the current roster of the WWE. Kai surely has the potential to become a major WWE star one day. Dakota Kai has the Charisma and the moves required to be a WWE Superstar one day. Being a New Zealander, Kai began her wrestling career in New Zealand in 2007 and wrestled at the independent promotions in her country. She also wrestled around Australia during the initial years of her career. Kai began wrestling in America since 2013 and made her WWE debut in October 2015.
Dakota Kai was released from the WWE in April 2022 and she didn’t desire to renew her contract back then but she has made her comeback now and her return to the company has been loved and appreciated by the WWE Universe. Dakota Kai is now a part of Bayley’s faction DAMAGE CTRL and she along with Iyo Sky returned to the WWE at SummerSlam. Bayley too, made her return at the event after a year long absence due to injury.
Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky recently became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions by defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Aaliyah on RAW this past week. The two were a part of the tournament but had lost to Rodriguez and Aaliyah in the finals. Recently Dakota Kai celebrated a milestone in the company about which she shared on twitter. She said that her recent title win is as of now the longest reign of her in WWE history.
It’s been 7 days since her tag title win but it marks her longest reign in the WWE, yes you read it right, Dakota has been an inaugural NXT Women’s Tag team Champion with Raquel Rodriguez in 2021 but they had lost the title in less than a day back then. They managed to win the title again in April this year and marked their second reign but that too didn’t last for more than 3 days.
So, this has been a milestone for Dakota who said, “Oh wow, it’s now officially my longest WWE title reign as of today. That’s crazy.”
Dakota Kai spoke about her relationship with Triple H
During a recent appearance on Today FM, Dakota Kai spoke about her equation with current Creative head of WWE Triple H, she said that Triple H knows what she is capable of and that Triple H is the big reason she is a part of WWE.
Dakota said that she is unaware of the situation the WWE locker room was in before as she was a part of NXT that time and worked under Triple H which was very cool and relaxing.
Dakota Kai said that The Game was very open to the ideas of the talents on the brand and the atmosphere feels the same again with him being the head of creative of WWE now. Dakota stated that they are currently in a really good atmosphere and like the unpredictability of the fact that anything may happen.
