Dakota Kai reveals the original plans WWE had for Damage CTRL

Dakota Kai is a member of Damage CTRL and has received some attention after her return to the WWE at SummerSlam. She is one-half of the WWE Women’s Champion, but recently revealed the original plans for the faction were completely different.
Dakota Kai recently appeared on the Getting Over Podcast where she revealed what Bayley told her when the idea for this stable first came to her a few years ago. This was a common idea, but the stable members varied considerably.
Bayley wanted this stable to feature completely fresh faces from NXT. Dakota said she was the only one original member from Bayley’s initial idea who made it to Damage CTRL. Bayley originally envisioned the faction with Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox and Candice LeRae.
Dakota Kai stated now things are different, but maybe that idea would have been bigger. She said, “When she first mentioned to me a couple of years before it was myself, Candice LeRae and Tegan. Those were the ones that were from the start. And obviously things that happened from then until now, everything change.”
Dakota Kai was getting praised after Raw
Dakota had a painful match at Survivor Series, as she fought in the WarGames match, but lost the match. Following that, she competed in a live event match the next day after the PLE. After that live event, she had a solid match on Raw against Candice LeRae.
Many fans commended her for being a workhorse, as many wrestlers do not have matches after even one day of a PLE. People have noted that even though she is losing matches, she has looked good in every one of them.
Fans even speculate that she could be the next Women’s Champion, which she almost certainly will be. Let’s see what WWE does with Dakota Kai in the future because she has a lot to offer to the company, and plenty of major storylines will be available for her in the future.
