Following a decent run in NXT, Damian Priest made his main roster debut at the Royal Rumble in 2021. He was known as “The Archer of Infamy” during his early days, which seemed promising. From teaming up with Bad Bunny at WrestleMania to winning the U.S. championship, his main roster run was going pretty well. At the start of 2022, Priest transformed himself into a heel. However, his career had a big turnaround after joining forces with Edge in a faction named “The Judgment Day” at WrestleMania last year.
Damian Priest and The Judgment Day have been dominating Raw since last year. The faction has also been feuding with Edge after kicking him out of the group last year. On the recent episode of Raw, Damien Priest, along with Finn Balor and Dominick Mysterio, interrupted Edge and his wife during the opening segment.
The Rated “R” Superstar was talking about his rivalry with the faction that he himself created. Edge and Beth Phoenix also challenged Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley to a mixed tag team match at the Elimination Chamber. Prior to his match on Raw, Damian Priest botched his promo while talking about the Elimination Chamber.
Priest was cutting a promo against Edge, and he wanted to mention his Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Angelo Dawkins. While talking, he got confused and mentioned “Money in the Bank” instead of “Elimination Chamber.” However, Priest, known for his brilliance on the mic, covered up the mistake by firing back at Edge and generating some heat from the crowd. Damian Priest is in the U.S. championship Elimination Chamber match
Following the hilarious promo, The Judgment Day surrounded Edge and his wife in the ring for an attack. Just as they were about to get their hands on Edge, The Street Profits appeared to save the day by evening the odds. After the brawl, Dawkins and Priest were scheduled for an Elimination Chamber qualifying match for the U.S. championship.
Without any interruption by his group, Damian Priest defeated Dawkins to qualify for the chamber in Montreal. The former United States champion is going to go for the title once again. He will be locked inside the chamber with the likes of current champion Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, and Johnny Gargano. Later in the night, Montez Ford punched his ticket for the chamber match as well.
The U.S. title Elimination Chamber match promises to be an action-filled 6-man match with the incredible amount of talent involved. Considering the momentum of Judgment Day, Damian Priest could be the man to walk out as the new U.S. champion.
