Since November 25, it’s been CM Punk all the way along. WWE is already making a ton of money with Punk being back. Having said that, the promotion recently uploaded an old video clip of The Best in the World, which caught Dave Bautista‘s attention. The said video includes the first time current NXT Superstar Cora Jade met her childhood hero, CM Punk.
The 22-year-old got emotional and broke down in tears of joy before Punk eventually proceeded to hug her. Hollywood sensation and former WWE Champion Dave Bautista recalled some of his initial interactions with The Straight Edge Superstar and said he also cried the first 10 times he met Punk. Of course, it was a lighthearted jab from one friend to another.

Both Punk and Bautista have managed to remain in close spirits even after different career trajectories altogether. The polarizing figure from Chicago chilled out with Dave Bautista on different occasions. Speaking of the aforementioned clip where Cora Jade met CM Punk, it was probably the best day of her life. She’s been an avid follower of Punk since her childhood.
I cried the first 10 times I met punk as well. Totally get it! Love this.Dave Bautista on CM Punk
Everywhere Punk used to travel for interviews, Jade used to show up. Given that The Voice of the Voiceless is now back in WWE, he could be very proud of the superstar Cora Jade has become. Their interactions were wholesome, and they have been adored by numerous fans over the internet.
Dave Bautista unhappy with the way CM Punk walked out of WWE in 2014
Back in 2014, CM Punk sent shockwaves through the entire wrestling fraternity when he walked out on WWE. The fans were irate over the company’s handling of his situation, and they kept hijacking the shows with his chants for years to come. Bautista was not happy with the way Punk quit WWE. In an interview with E&C Pod of Awesomeness, he expressed his disappointment.

Calling back on Punk’s WWE departure, Bautista recalled the 2014 Royal Rumble match. It was The Second City Savior’s last match and he bowed out the very next day. Dave Bautista thought that’s not how business should be done. The Animal believed that Punk should’ve put over some budding superstars before taking such a step.
You guys know, I love Punk. I always got along with Punk. I had to hear from people that he left because I came back. I've said I wasn't crazy about the way he left. Because it's just not the way we did business. We just don't do that.Dave Bautista on why he was upset with CM Punk’s WWE departure
But this year at Survivor Series, CM Punk made his jaw-dropping return to the company he left on bad terms. Previously, during his first promo on Raw, he even provided insight on AJ Lee and affirmed that he’s not here to make friends but to make money.
