Dave Bautista is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, superstars in WWE. He is a 6-time world champion and a 2-time Royal Rumble winner. He has many accomplishments in his legendary career. The animal recounts how all of his dreams came true, and success found him.
Bautista shared a video on his Twitter account on the occasion of Thanksgiving, and in that video, he describes how thankful he is for all the opportunities he got. The 54-year-old further added that he had made so many sacrifices for what he wanted to achieve. He moved further, step by step, and started achieving those things.
Bautista also admitted that he has sacrificed so much in order to achieve his dreams, but because of those sacrifices, he is what he is today. Here is what he had to say:
I just really wanted to make a living, being able to support my family, to being on top of the company was just beyond my dreams. So with me, it's always the baby steps. I've sacrificed some things because of that, but my life is what it is because of that.
Bautista is one of the only superstars who has found success in both his wrestling and acting careers, like John Cena and The Rock. He has retired from the ring and is now fully focusing on his acting career. But, in wrestling, you never say never. Fans are so excited to see the animal one last time in the wrestling ring.
Dave Bautista was always concerned about his job at WWE
There is absolutely no doubt that Dave Bautista is and always will be one of the WWE greats. Although he had a pretty successful career, the Animal was also at risk of losing his job at some point in his career.
Bautista made his debut in 2002 with legends like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton and made a name for himself in the company. When he got injured during the early days of his career, he really felt like he would be replaced by other superstars and he would be released from WWE. But he made an unbelievable comeback and cemented his place as a legend.
Speaking about the concern he had for his job, Bautista said:
When I was wrestling I was just happy to have a job and always thinking I’m going to lose my job any day. And so becoming a world champion was something I just never imagined. You know, it’s weird, they continuously say ‘Why do you want to be there if you don’t want to be champion?’ It’s just because I was content having a job. I just really wanted to make a living, be able to support my family.
Bautista wrestled his last match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, and then focused on his acting career and shifted to Hollywood. The Animal will always hold a special place in all the wrestling fans’ hearts.
