Dave Bautista as Drax and Batman

Dave Bautista has transitioned brilliantly into the Hollywood world. He has starred in several blockbusters over the past decade. His most prominent roles came in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Drax The Destroyer, appearing in movies such as Avengers: Infinity War and Guardians Of The Galaxy. However, the former WWE superstar recently suggested playing one of Batman’s greatest villains in the DCU.

James Gunn was announced to take on the producer role in creating an entire different universe for DC. This involved him removing several actors from their previous roles, such as Henry Cavill (as Superman). Therefore, new roles will be assigned for his upcoming Batman movie, The Brave and The Bold. Bautista took an interest in playing the Dark Knight’s biggest villain, Bane.

According to a source, the idea of the role was pitched to Dave, who absolutely loved it. The Blue Beetles director, Angel Manuel Soto, confirmed the same. Moreover, he also had original plans to direct a separate movie for the villain. In this case, fans can expect the WWE legend to surprise them, as he has done in the past as well.

Why Dave Bautista has not yet been inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame?

Former WWE star Batista is one of the greatest superstars of this century. The Ruthless Aggression Era was kicked off by him winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. Furthermore, The Animal was one of the biggest attractions of that phase, along with the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton. He ended up hanging his boots in 2019, fourteen years after making history at the same event.

A WWE Hall of Fame induction was just a formality at that point. Four years later, Big Dave is nowhere to be seen in that legendary class. He was initially set to enter in 2020, but due to the pandemic, the ceremony was cancelled. A year later, he was contacted again, but he had to deny it as he was working on various projects back then.

Many fans believed this was the perfect time and place to give him recognition. WrestleMania took place at SoFi Stadium in California, leading to speculation that Batista would be inducted. However, it couldn’t happen, and the ceremony was headlined by his old friend and former tag team partner, Rey Mysterio, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
