Cm Punk has been away from professional wrestling for quite some time now. In September last year at the AEW All Out media scrum, unfortunate events took place when Punk dissed the AEW roster and EVPs after winning the World title. Following the scrum, he was also reportedly involved in a backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. The brawl resulted in Cm Punk’s suspension from AEW and he is yet to return since then.
On the latest episode of FTR with Dax podcast, the current AEW tag team champion discussed the possible return of Cm Punk. Dax Harwood has been a long-time friend of Punk and revealed that they both talk regularly.
Dax stated that CM Punk is currently the biggest name in pro wrestling, apart from Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. He also thinks that AEW needs a big star like Punk. Also, the AEW management should put him on the card if they want to make money.
Harwood further revealed, “On top of that, I will say that I talk to Punk almost every day and Punk misses wrestling. That’s your headline: Punk misses wrestling and Punk wants to come back and he wants to give back to the fans. He wants to give back to wrestling. So, I’ll leave it at that”.
Throughout his exile from the pro wrestling scene, The Voice of the Voiceless has been making headlines for all positive as well as negative reasons. He was also mentioned multiple times by some of the big names in wrestling, regardless of the promotion.

Cm Punk is reported to make his return, possibly this summer
In 2021, the wrestling world witnessed one of the grandest returns ever on AEW TV. Cm Punk made his return to the wrestling scene after seven years, in a different promotion this time. However, a year later, Punk left once again, this time without any hope of a return.
Nevertheless, recent reports could be a delight for the fans. As reported by Fightful Select on their Patreon, the tentative plan for CM Punk’s return is on the June 21 episode of Dynamite this year. If the report turns out to be true, Punk could very well be on the card for All In event in August.
However, nothing is confirmed yet and more updates will be provided regarding Punk’s return. Hence, fans should be skeptical about the possibility of the former AEW World champion’s return. It would be exciting to see “Best in the World’ in action again.
