Did CM Punk go off-the-script during this week’s segment on Raw?
The Voice of the Voiceless went unhinged on Raw.

With over 15,000 in attendance on Raw last night, CM Punk was home. Despite donning a robotic arm brace, he took the Allstate Arena on an ultimate thrill ride. A point came when he urged Drew McIntyre, one of the two uninvited guests Punk had, to divulge that man’s name who honed McIntyre as the chosen one. Everyone knew the answer to it, but of course Drew had to detour and not mention Vince McMahon‘s name on live television.
That made the fans wonder whether that was in the script or whether McMahon catching stray wasn’t meant to be. That ensued in a tsunami of speculation, where some believed CM Punk went beyond the usual limits, defying the pre-determined lines.
Though it can be argued that Vince’s reference wouldn’t have been in the run sheets, the entire segment Punk had with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre wasn’t something they devised on the fly. It’s been a well-known fact that ever since assuming his role as the head of creative, Triple H has eased the strings by a country mile.
The Superstars are being given more leeway in terms of their on-screen verbiage. Back when Vince McMahon was in charge of things, there used to be a certain list of tabooed terms. However, that’s certainly not the case anymore.
Last night on Raw, Punk’s WrestleMania XL role was also confirmed. He’ll be a special guest commentator during the World Heavyweight title match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. Fans wanted him to officiate the bout, but he claimed he wouldn’t be able to stay impartial with either of the two “dip shi*s.” And as per Sportskeeda, The Best in the World’s initial promo went overtime.
CM Punk shared his thoughts on The Rock following Raw promo
Following an explosive in-ring appearance on Raw, CM Punk was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley. Upon being asked about The Great One, Punk said he’s glad to see Rock back in WWE.
The Second City Saint joked that Dwayne Johnson knows his role as he’s keeping his mouth shut, seemingly about Chicago’s own. Punk iterated that anything’s possible in this new era of WWE. And then the 45-year-old teased crossing paths with The Rock sooner or later.
Earlier in the show, The Best in the World made a reference to his 2013 feud with The People’s Champ, where Punk affirmed that Dwayne’s arms were too short to box with God. They seem destined to share the ring once again somewhere down the road.
