“He is no longer with us”- Dominik Mysterio makes controversial statement when asked about ever reconciling with his father
Dominik Mysterio once again disrespects Rey Mysterio in his latest controversial remark regarding his father.

Dominik Mysterio is currently one of the most talked-about wrestlers. It all started at last year’s Clash At The Castle event, when “Dirty” Dom turned on his father, Rey Mysterio, to join The Judgment Day. The two fought at this year’s WrestleMania after the third-generation superstar disrespected the rest of his family. Recently, Dominik was asked about reconciling with his father, to which he had a shocking response.
Since the WWE Draft, Dominik and Rey have rarely been seen together on-screen. This is due to the father-son pair being separated by different brands. This didn’t stop the 26-year-old from mocking his own father. In a recent NXT Q&A, Dom was asked by a fan if he would ever reconcile with his father. In response to the question, he said, “I dream about that every night, sometimes it keeps me up and I can’t sleep. But, because he’s no longer with us, R.I.P. Eddie.”
Dom implied that his real father was Eddie Guerrero. Rey and Eddie were best friends who grew up in the wrestling business together. In 2005, during a personal rivalry between the former Tag Team Champions, Guerrero claimed that the then-7-year-old Dominik was his biological son. A ladder match was held at that year’s SummerSlam. This was for the “Custody of Dominik Mysterio”, in which Rey Mysterio emerged victorious. Unfortunately, the Latino Heat passed away a few months later due to heart failure and was inducted into the Hall Of Fame a year later.
Dominik Mysterio isn’t yet ready to settle the issues between him and his father. He seems to be enjoying his time at the moment with The Judgment Day. “Dirty” Dom is also the most hated man in wrestling right now. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio is on the SmackDown brand as a member of the LWO.
Dominik Mysterio set to defend NXT North American title at Great American Bash
The Judgment Day is dominating headlines as of late. Whether it be on RAW or NXT, the faction has ruled each and every show they have been on. Recently, the group’s member, Dominik Mysterio, captured his first singles title in the WWE by defeating Wes Lee for the North American Championship.
Before Dominik beat Lee for the title, the latter was set to defend the championship against Mustafa Ali at the Gold brand’s exclusive premium live event, The Great American Bash. The match is now to be a triple-threat match with both men as challengers for “Dirty” Dom’s North American title. Ali has also been a regular on NXT since his loss to Gunther at Night Of Champions.
On the most recent episode of the show, Mustafa Ali confronted Dom, even telling him at one point, “You stole your daddy’s 619 & you stole your other daddy’s frog splash!”. The third-generation superstar will have a lot to prove as he seeks his first premium live-event win of the year.
