Jey Uso made his first appearance on Monday Night Raw this past week after the brand drafted him. He was met with an overwhelming reaction by the fans. However, several superstars were unhappy with the move. As a result, Dominik Mysterio tried to recruit the former Bloodline member into the Judgment Day later on in the show.
The third-generation superstar spoke candidly with Jey Uso backstage. First, he pointed out how they both come from “messed-up” families and Hall of Fame fathers. Furthermore, Dom mentioned that he could relate to everything Jey had gone through in the past couple of months.
“From a man that didn’t have a family to a man that now has the tightest family, I know what you’re going through,” said the North American Champion. He was referring to the Judgment Day as his new family. “Jey, no one likes you just like no one liked me,” further stated Dominik.
Moreover, he emphasized that no one was the leader in his faction and that everyone was an equal. Subsequently, Dominik Mysterio offered Main Event Jey a spot on the Judgment Day, promising to speak with the other members. He thanked the 38-year-old for listening and told him to take his time to contemplate it.
Dominik’s talk with Jey Uso impressed fans online. Interestingly, it was similar to how Rhea Ripley recruited the former last year on Judgment Day. The WWE Universe will have to wait and see whether the former tag team champion accepts Mysterio’s invitation.
Dominik Mysterio set to face Mustafa Ali at NXT: No Mercy
The NXT North American Championship will be defended at the brand’s upcoming premium live event, No Mercy. Dominik Mysterio will defend his title against Mustafa Ali. This past Tuesday night’s edition of the show made the fight official.
Ali squared off against Dragon Lee in a #1 contender’s bout. Moreover, Dominik was the special guest referee for their encounter. The Judgment Day member didn’t want Lee to win, so he completely pulled the strings of the match in Mustafa Ali’s favor.
In the closing stretches, Mysterio, who was the referee, quickly counted to 3 after Mustafa Ali rolled up his opponent for the victory. However, the latter did not seem happy as he attacked the Judgment Day member post-match.
