Dominik Mysterio has made his mark as a singles star by winning his first ever singles title in WWE. The new NXT North American Champion has been crowned on the latest episode of NXT with the defeat of Wes Lee. With the support of The Judgment Day, Dominik secured his victory over Lee and claimed the North American Title. Following his win, the Modern Day Latino Heat has taken over Twitter to address his emotions and Rhea Ripley’s support for his accomplishment.

Dominik replied to a tweet from Rhea Ripley and expressed his gratitude for having Mami beside him. Dom Dom wrote, “You’re too good to me Mami!!” stating her loving nature towards him. Mysterio then added, “Couldn’t have done without you?” and explained that her constant backing has brought him to this stage. Dominik added a purple heart emoji to pay tribute to The Judgment Day and tagged Rhea Ripley in that tweet.

Rhea Ripley tweeted and wrote about Dominik’s achievement. She shared the picture of Mysterio’s victory moment when the referee was counting on the pinfall and called it, “Split second before greatness!” The Eradicator further added that she could not express her happiness in words. Ripley concluded by saying that she is bloody proud of Mysterio.

With Dominik’s championship win, The Judgment Day is stronger than ever. Mami and Dom Dom will look indomitable as they both hold titles in the faction. Damian Priest will also look to have one of the titles on his shoulder, as he has the Money in the Bank briefcase. The path for Finn Balor might look clear as his feud with Seth Rollins will see its culmination at SummerSlam when they both clash for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Will Dominik Mysterio defend his title at Great American Bash?

Dominik Mysterio surprised fans this week when he pulled off the unthinkable. Mysterio defeated Wes Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion on the July 18 episode of NXT. Other members of The Judgment Day played an essential role in having Mysterio grab the win.

On the July 4 episode of NXT, Mustafa Ali received the opportunity to face Lee for his championship at Great American Bash event. Ali defeated Tyler Bate to secure his chances for the NXT North American Championship. But the scenario has now changed with the titles changing hands and the future looks unclear.

But Mustafa Ali is determined to face the champion regardless of any title holder. The former 205 Live superstar will most probably challenge the Champion at Great American Bash. The WWE Universe will be excited to see Mysterio’s title run in NXT.
