Vince McMahon is known to have had multiple storylines in WWE that were over the top and made no sense in real life. Over the years, the quality of the storylines decreased so much that WWE lost many fans in the process. However, one story that was over the top yet memorable for the fans was the Vince McMahon death angle.

On a random episode of Raw, Vince McMahon was seen getting into a limo. As soon as he shut the door, the car exploded into flames. The plan was to make a whole storyline out of McMahon’s death and introduce members of his family who tried to take his place. Unfortunately, the storyline had to be scrapped due to the real-life passing of former WWE Champion Chris Benoit.

Due to the nature of Benoit’s passing, it was distasteful to continue the struggle. However, as it turns out, the story was extremely impactful among the viewers in its short duration. While talking on the Opie and Anthony show, Triple H revealed that after the show, former US President Donald Trump called up to check if Vince was fine. He was genuinely concerned for his longtime friend.

One of the most infamous storylines that WWE has ever done was the Katie Vick storyline. WWE never mentioned the scandal again. It was criticized by fans and other people online for being distasteful and on the verge of necrophilia. In 2002, Triple H accused Kane of killing his girlfriend Katie Vick years ago before having contact with her dead body.

The story was extremely bad, but WWE did not stop here, as Triple H talks about it on The Opie And Anthony Show. Vince McMahon made him disguise himself as Kane and re-enact the intercourse scene with a mannequin, pretending that it was Kane making love to Katie. Triple H recalls being extremely uncomfortable while doing it and regrets doing it.

He talked about the ridiculous ideas that Vince McMahon gets and how he makes everyone follow him, even if the idea is bad. Fortunately for the fans, Vince McMahon stepped down from his role full-time in July 2022 and retired after almost four decades of running WWE. Triple H has now taken over the creative process of the shows, and the changes have been revealed to the fans.
