CM Punk‘s triceps injury is a major setback for WWE. Not only does it take a dream showdown against Seth Rollins off the table, but the company is now back to the drawing board. Also, a man who’s embarked on a mission to upset as many CM Punk fans as possible, Drew McIntyre, has some advice. The latter uploaded a TikTok video taking fans through his triceps day.
With a bottle of Prime in his hand, he turned into Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares on the big TV screen. McIntyre then proceeded to put in some work for his triceps. Fans on social media declared The Scottish Warrior a certified hater, and some even called him anti-Punk. This week on Raw, McIntyre interrupted Punk midway during his emotional address to the WWE Universe.

The Scotsman brazenly claimed that he prayed for Punk to get injured. Some fans believe that it would be the perfect time for WWE to let McIntyre headline WrestleMania this year, given that Punk’s out of the picture. The Scottish Psychopath’s fate might be hanging by a thin wire. This month’s Elimination Chamber could be his last opportunity to book a main event berth in Philadelphia.
Video footage from the Royal Rumble reveals that it was McIntyre’s future shock DDT that did the damage to Punk. An abrupt landing on the left side saw Punk rolling to the side of the ring. He even communicated with the lady ref, Jessica Carr. However, Punk was able to get through the match with adrenaline running high. He was finally thrown out by Cody Rhodes to end his night in disappointment.
When CM Punk could potentially return to WWE?
As mentioned during his promo on Raw, CM Punk would be out of action for months. Usually, a torn triceps takes anywhere from 4-6 months of rehab post-surgery. As of now, it’s unknown when The Best in the World will undergo the required treatment. But it’s believed to be soon.

The upper limit of the expected timeframe could keep Punk at bay from in-ring action till September. For a vulnerable guy like The Voice of the Voiceless, things need not be rushed at all.
If that ends up being the case, the 45-year-old might have to miss this year’s SummerSlam too, considering that it would be scheduled for mid-August. But it solely depends on how well The Second City Saint goes on rehab. He could be back sooner if things go well.
