Drew McIntyre mocks Cody Rhodes [via- WWE]
The past week was everything Drew McIntyre would’ve hoped for in his WWE career. First, he pinned Cody Rhodes on Raw, thanks to The Bloodline’s shenanigans. And then, in Perth, he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match to secure a WrestleMania berth. Seemingly on cloud nine at the moment, McIntyre took to X. He aimed an acerbic jab at WWE’s pyro budget for The American Nightmare, a part of which was seemingly spent after Drew’s win in Australia.
The Scottish Warrior posted how WWE let him steal a march over Cody as fireworks dazzled into the night sky in Perth. And that happened as he uprooted Rhodes, becoming only the second superstar after Roman Reigns to pin him since his return at WrestleMania 38, implied McIntyre. It seems the tides have turned Drew’s way ever since he injured CM Punk at the Royal Rumble.

Even after dropping Punk on Raw-post Rumble, McIntyre has been relentless ever since. The more he continues to mock The Best in the World, the more it appears WWE is planting seeds for a potential feud down the road. But that won’t happen until Punk’s healed from his torn triceps. For now, Drew McIntyre can revert his focus to Seth Rollins.

The two are no strangers to each other, having locked horns on numerous occasions. Their forthcoming battle will be for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. It may sound like a broken record, but this year could be the one when McIntyre gets his WrestleMania moment in front of a packed stadium.
Why fans called Drew McIntyre a “hypocrite” after Elimination Chamber coup?
The Scottish Warrior earned his moment the hard way, except for the closing stretch of the match. He began proceedings inside the Elimination Chamber with LA Knight. By the end, only Logan Paul, Randy Orton, and Drew himself were remaining.

The Viper made sure Logan didn’t win and eliminated him with an RKO. However, The Maverick hit back with a knockout punch draped with brass knuckles on Orton’s jaw. That allowed McIntyre to take advantage and pin the 14-time World Champion inside Satan’s prison, thus leading the fans to call him a “hypocrite.”
Some would argue that Drew brought his ring awareness to play and seized the moment. None of that matters now as the former 2-time WWE Champion is headed to Philadelphia. The self-proclaimed DM Hunk also asserted that he’s the savior of WrestleMania.
