After months of subtle hints and teases, Drew McIntyre finally had his heel turn this week on Raw. The Scottish Warrior made his presence felt during the main event clash and settled the score with the former Bloodline member, Jey Uso. That being said, the former WWE Champion has reacted for the first time since his shocking heel turn on Raw.
Drew McIntyre took to his X and posted an image with The Judgment Day’s alleged leader, Rhea Ripley. The 38-year-old closed out the latest episode of Raw, accompanied by The Nightmare. As McIntyre walked up to the stage, Ripley joined him. The two individuals wickedly smiled at each other and shook their hands.
The latest edition of Monday Night Raw saw The Judgment Day defend their tag-team gold against the former title holders, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. As the match drew on, Drew McIntyre came out of nowhere and had a fleeting staredown with Jey Uso. The latter was flustered by the unforeseen involvement of McIntyre.
Later, the Scottish Warrior delivered a jaw-dropping Claymore to Jey Uso, completing his heel turn. Many fans speculated that the 38-year-old would attack Seth Rollins to set off his heel turn. Instead, McIntyre sought retribution from his archenemy, Uso, whom he holds responsible for ruining his chances of becoming the WWE Champion last year.
Drew McIntyre’s heel turn intensifies the rumors of Randy Orton’s return at Survivor Series
The recent trajectory of Drew McIntyre has come full circle with the Scottish Warrior’s much-awaited heel turn. The former played a big role in helping The Judgment Day retain their gold. With his apparent alliance with the heel stable, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso are yet again at a disadvantage. The former’s heel turn has added to the rumors of Randy Orton‘s impending return.
The upcoming WWE Survivor Series will feature a massive WarGames match between The Judgment Day and the Babyface team led by Cody Rhodes. While the heel faction potentially has five members with the supposed addition of McIntyre, the latter only has four members. This has led the fans to highlight the possibility of Randy Orton making his shocking return as the fifth member of Rhodes’ team.
Moreover, the American Nightmare hinted at the potential comeback of the Apex Predator. After Raw went off the air, Cody Rhodes stated that he and Jey Uso also have friends, aggravating the rumors. If The Viper indeed turns out to be the final member of Rhodes’ WarGames team, it will blow the roof off the All State Arena in Chicago.
