A few weeks ago, Drew McIntyre pinned Cody Rhodes on Raw. In the process, he became only the second WWE superstar to do so after Roman Reigns since Rhodes’ return at WrestleMania 38. But last night at a live event in Bakersfield, The American Nightmare avenged his loss. He doomed The Scottish Warrior in a Street Fight, thus subduing his momentum ahead of McIntyre’s pivotal showdown with Jey Uso on Raw.

Even though Drew’s suffering wasn’t televised, the fans in the arena witnessed it firsthand. Nonetheless, taking it as a bump in the road, McIntyre has a date with “Main Event” Jey tonight. It stemmed from last week’s actions on Raw. Backstage, the Scot approached Jey. The latter was in a visibly sullen mood following his twin brother Jimmy’s actions.

Drew told Jey he understood what was going through his mind, and it’s a hard pill to swallow.
But suddenly, McIntyre, continuing his menacing run of late, said that Jey Uso absolutely deserved it. That irked Jey, and a pull-apart brawl ensued between the two. Shortly after their scuffle, WWE officially confirmed that they’d go one-on-one at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.

Recently, WWE CCO Triple H also released a hype video package for the said bout. Hunter lauded Drew and Jey for being at the top of their game. While the former WWE Champion is pitted against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, the younger Uso seems likely to battle his own blood in Philadelphia.

Neither can afford a loss with WWE’s biggest show looming. Anyway, this week’s Raw is on track to sell out. It would mark the fifth consecutive TV taping to achieve this feat, per WrestleTix.

Is CM Punk being brought back for Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL?

Both Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre have been pretty vocal about their issues with CM Punk. Though Seth has managed to keep Punk’s name out of his mouth, at least on WWE programming, McIntyre’s been the exact opposite.

The Scotsman hasn’t lost a step in his trolling game when it comes to The Best in the World. It has led some fans to believe that Punk may have something to offer in the ongoing Rollins-McIntyre saga. Also, during a recent Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp affirmed that WWE does plan on having The Second City Saint in some capacity at WrestleMania 40.

It’s unclear what his role could possibly be. However, speculation entails that he might be a special guest referee for Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, if not the host of The Showcase of the Immortals.
