The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre has been on a roll lately. He has been showing off his unique character to the WWE Universe lately. Amid his ongoing shenanigans, McIntyre didn’t step back in taking credit for Cody Rhodes choosing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. In an interview, he called himself ‘People’s Executioner,’ referring to himself as the reason Cody chose Reigns.

In an interview with West Sport, the Scottish Warrior explained that Rhodes promised the WWE Universe to finish his story against the Tribal Chief. However, on Raw, he went on to choose Seth Rollins, which was a sellout for the WWE Universe. Therefore, the former WWE Champion himself decided to take the matter into his own hands and decided to beat up the American Nightmare. It led to him finally choosing the Head of the Table at WrestleMania.

Drew Mcintyre while talking about Rhodes said,

Selfish Cody promised he'd finish the story, made a video game about it, wouldn't stop saying it for years, and went, 'You know what? Maybe I'll fight Seth.' And I'm like, 'You idiot that's not the plan. You promised everybody this.' - I beat him up then he made the right choice, - I am the people's executioner. I do what's right for the people.

Moreover, McIntyre called Rhodes a fool for even thinking about choosing the Visionary to face at WrestleMania. For context, prior to Rhodes choosing the Needle Mover, in a promo, he implicitly announced going up for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. However, at WrestleMania Kickoff, the American Nightmare solidified his decision to choose Reigns at the Show of Shows.

As for Drew McIntyre, he is all set to compete in the Elimination Chamber in Australia. The high-stakes match will feature stars like Randy Orton, LA Knight, and even Bobby Lashley, and the winner will go on to face the Visionary at WrestleMania. Only time will tell if McIntyre is going to be able to pull up a victory in Perth and head to the Grandest Stage of Them All.

According to Fightful Select via SEScoops, WWE has extended McIntyre’s contract for several months, which goes even after WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia. This is because the Scottish Warrior was injured for a couple of months during his tenure. Besides, the inactivity has certainly added a few more months to the contract of the former WWE Champion.

The 38-year-old superstar is rumored to have a significant role at WrestleMania. It is speculated that he will face Seth Rollins for the World Title in the main event. Therefore, it is less likely for him to leave the company after the expiration of his contract. It is going to be interesting to see where the future of the star is headed from here on out.
