WATCH: Dwayne Johnson surprises unsuspecting shoppers at the FAO Schwarz toy store in NYC, eventually pays off for everyone’s holiday gifts

Dwayne Johnson is fast becoming synonymous with altruism. Long gone are the days when The Rock used to rope in ginormous paychecks for himself being in WWE or other Hollywood projects. Though he’s still a devoted actor by heart, he’s more aligned with bringing a smile to everyone’s face. Recently, the wrestler-turned-actor was a special guest on The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon.

However, before they sat down for a fun conversation, both Jimmy and Johnson paid a visit to New York City’s renowned toy store, FAO Schwarz. They decided to have a blast with the customers who would come over there to shop for the holiday season. They sat behind a newly constructed robot that was designed to give the shoppers an experience of a lifetime.

As shown in the above clip, Jimmy Fallon had the controls for robotic equipment, while Dwayne Johnson periodically stepped out of the room to startle the customers. After extracting wholesome reactions from a bunch of visitors at the toy store, Dwayne Johnson showed himself publicly. The kids, even the adults, erupted in rhapsody at the sight of the Jumanji star. Then, Jimmy Fallon suggested Dwayne jump on the giant piano.

They flaunted some moves in tandem as the shoppers were jubilant. After having a quality experience, Dwayne Johnson addressed the crowd and thanked everyone for their inspiring presence. Moreover, just when everyone thought that was it for the day, The Great One added to the customer’s adulation when he announced he was going to pay for everyone’s holiday gifts. And that’s when The Brahma Bull called it a day.

Dwayne Johnson received criticism for People’s Fund of Maui

Not always are people raving about Dwayne Johnson’s magnanimous deeds. Back in August, when wildfires caught the vicinity of the Maui Islands, he and Oprah Winfrey launched the People’s Fund of Maui. To begin with, both Johnson and Winfrey put in $5 million each to get things going.

They further appealed to their fanbase to come forward and put some money out of their pockets. However, the general behest caught people the wrong way, and they thought it was too much of an ask from Dwayne. The Moana actor received heavy criticism for his methods of seeking public donations, even for a noble cause.

The fans grew in exasperation as they thought Dwayne Johnson should raise more funds for the people of Maui instead of asking common citizens to share a piece of their hard-earned money. They believed that the Hollywood star could have easily done that, considering his humongous wealth.
