Ava Raine is on her way to making a big name for herself in the professional wrestling world. Widely known as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s daughter, Ava is on her heel run right now in NXT with her faction, Schism. But in a shocking turn of events, Raine was kidnapped on NXT by the Creed Brothers.
However, things took an obnoxious turn when the WWE Universe wished her to be dead while being kidnapped, considering her heel persona. Ava Raine took to X to implicitly state the fans’ wild reaction to her kayfabe kidnapping. She mentioned that people who do not like her for whatever reason are completely acceptable.
“Not liking me for whatever reason is whatever but telling me you wish the creeds killed me because “i’m an ugly bitch” is truly wild,” Ava wrote. Ava’s tweet came as a total shocker to the WWE Universe, as they got to know the amount of hate she gets due to her portrayal of a heel persona on NXT.
The kayfabe kidnapping of Ava Raine happened on the August 22 special episode of NXT: Heatwave. The second match of the show had Raine in her singles in-ring debut match against Ivy Nile.
The match was dominated by the 22-year-old for a longer period while also having the support of her stablemates by her side. But Nile still managed to win the bout as she countered one of Raine’s moves and trapped her in a dragon sleeper hold to have her submit quickly.
The aftermath of this match saw the masked Schism followers trying to attack Ivy. But as she single-handedly defended herself, the other members were forced to leave the ring. But that was followed by two of the masked members taking Ava with them to save her from the wrath of the Nile. A backstage segment then showed those masked unknowns revealing themselves to be the Creed Brothers, who were backed by Ivy herself.
Ava Raine’s kidnapping was a plan made to reinstate The Creed Brothers

The August 22, 2023, special episode of NXT: Heatwave saw the singles in-ring debut match of Ava Raine. The Schism member faced Ivy Nile but came out unsuccessful in it, even after a dominant matchup. The aftermath was interesting, as she was taken by two of Schism’s masked members.
But during a backstage segment, it was revealed that those masked people were The Creed Brothers. Forming their dismantled faction, Diamond Mine, on NXT, Nile then joined the brothers, stating that they planned to kidnap The Rock‘s daughter. And the only way she could be released was through The Creed’s reinstatement in NXT.
The Creed Brothers demanded a match against The Dyad next week in a steel cage. This order from the Creeds was soon announced for a tag team steel cage match next week. This saw Ava get released from the hands of Diamond Mine and sparking a rivalry between the factions that will continue to go on for a while.
