Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made an electrifying return on the Day 1 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. For the first time in almost four months, the Great One graced the WWE Universe with his presence. Moreover, he finally acknowledged his cousin, Roman Reigns, and may have hinted at the anticipated bout taking place sooner than expected.

After Triple H seemingly confirmed a former WWE Champion’s appearance on the show, Jinder Mahal was revealed as the superstar. To the disappointment of the San Diego crowd, the Modern Day Maharaja insulted the live audience and vilified the country. However, the live audience burst into joy when The Rock’s music hit, interrupting Mahal in the ring.

Straightaway, Dwayne called out the 37-year-old for his disrespectful actions. The People’s Champion proceeded to hilariously term Mahal as the “Day 1 dou*hebag.” As a result, the latter started to attack the legend. The Rock would retaliate quickly, delivering a People’s Elbow on Jinder. While many believed that was the end of the segment, the Brahma Bull got on the microphone to drop a bombshell statement.

Previously, reports suggested that The Rock might appear at Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. Therefore, it seems likely that if the ‘dream’ bout will end up happening at the February PLE. Of course, this is just speculation at the moment and the WWE Universe will have to see how the road to WrestleMania plays out.

Needless to say, The Rock’s blockbuster return has paved an interesting road to the Showcase of Immortals. Roman Reigns will appear on the upcoming episode of SmackDown and is expected to respond as well.
