The Men’s Elimination Chamber match was filled with jaw-dropping moments. Austin Theory, on the other hand, retained the US Championship during the Chamber match. During the post-show press conference, Theory boasted about himself and laid out an open challenge for the US Championship at the next Monday Night Raw. He said that nobody had the audacity to step up and face him. As a result, Rated R superstar Edge responded to Theory’s challenge.
During a post-show press conference, Austin Theory stated that if he made the US Championship open challenge next week, no one would step up. Moreover, Theory said that there’s nobody in the locker room who’s on his level. He said, “If there is someone that may be thinks they can if, atleast get to my level, sure may be they can face me for the United States Championship on Monday.” Furthermore, the US Champion stated that no one is as consistent as him. He went on to say that whoever steps up, at the end of the day, he will take him to A-Town Down.
As a result of the statement, Edge replied to Theory during the press conference. The Rated R superstar praised Theory and said that his future is definitely bright. In addition to that, he sarcastically mocked Theory for being a Cena fan. To this, the reporters and the fans gave a loud pop. The Ultimate Opportunist added that Cena had a work ethic, which he believes Theory doesn’t have. However, he said that it’s been a while since he’s held a championship. Therefore, Edge said that he would love to accept Theory’s open challenge. But the Rated R superstar feels it’s a matter of question whether Theory would accept it.
Edge and Beth Phoenix fought Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at the Elimination Chamber in a grueling match. The couple emerged victorious in the match. However, it looks like the Rated R superstar has his eye on the United States Championship now. He is likely to face Austin Theory in his US Championship open challenge match. The post-show press conference pumped up fans for next week’s Monday Night Raw from Ottawa.
Theory retains the US title
The Men’s elimination chamber match was one of the most spectacular matches of the night. The crowd in Montreal enjoyed every bit of the match. Nonetheless, Austin Theory retained the United States Championship in a grueling inside the chamber. However, it came as a result of Logan Paul’s interference at the end of the match. Seth Rollins and Austin were the remaining two participants in the match. The Visionary was on the verge of winning when Logan Paul made his entrance into the chamber, surprising the crowd in Montreal. As a result, Theory took advantage of it and hit Rollins with A-Town Down, retaining the United States championship.
With WrestleMania 39 less than two months away, it will be interesting to see the direction of Austin’s Theory going into Mania. However, Edge responded to the US Open challenge laid out by Theory at the post-show press conference. As a result, fans should tune in to the next Monday Night Raw, which will take place in Ottawa.
