Seth Rollins from Monday Night Raw has already qualified for the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. On the other hand, SmackDown will have two triple-threat matches and a semi-final match. One of the participants in those matches is WWE Hall of Famer Edge. He will square off against Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.

Ahead of his triple threat match on SmackDown, Edge addressed the WWE Universe on Twitter. The Rated-R Superstar posted a video and explained why it is important for him to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Moreover, he said that he plans on winning both matches on SmackDown to advance to the finals of the tournament to battle against his old rival at Night of Champions.

In the video, Edge recalled the time when he had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship. He said that he has an unfinished story that he would like to finish before bidding adieu to his iconic career. The Ultimate Opportunist settled on winning the championship, which he never lost in the first place.

He further said, “This ride is going to end sooner rather than later; let’s face it, we all know that. I’ve got to get this done. It’s the last thing to do, it’s the period at the end of the sentence. It’s the last sentence in the book.” He said that he would retire from his pro wrestling career after winning the World Heavyweight Championship. The Hall of Famer wants to finish his story before hanging up his boots once and for all.

Damian Priest said,“Man, what a wild year starting with Edge at last year’s WrestleMania. First of all, it was awesome, you know. Just the comfort that came with working with Edge at first, where he kind of instilled in me, and was like, ‘Hey, this is to build you and make you the star that I know you can be.”
