Edge closer to signing with AEW than ever after recent Jade Cargill hiring by WWE: Reports
Edge is expected to make a grand AEW debut soon, following Jade Cargill's recent signing with the Stamford-based promotion.

Former AEW superstar Jade Cargill shockingly signed a multi-year deal with WWE this week. Since then, there has been a buzz about superstars jumping ship. According to reports, AEW will be the next to sign one of the WWE’s biggest superstars to its promotion. The big name rumored to debut in the Tony Khan-led promotion is WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
According to BWE via Ringside News, it’s just a matter of time before the Rated-R superstar steps foot in AEW. The reports suggest that “Edge is closer to AEW more than ever apparently. Mind blown on how this business have changed yet so similar to WCW/WWF.“ His AEW arrival will happen sooner rather than later.
Moreover, WWE picked All Elite Wrestling’s one of the biggest stars, Jade Cargill. As a result, there has been a belief that Edge’s departure from the Stamford-based promotion has become easier. It was previously rumored that Tony Khan is ready and steady to sign Adam Copeland’s AEW contract soon.
Jade Cargill is all set to make her WWE debut soon. It is unclear if she will make her way to RAW, SmackDown, or NXT. Her arrival will undoubtedly be a huge moment for the company and the WWE Universe. On the other hand, Edge last appeared on his 25th anniversary on SmackDown, where he fought his last contract match.

Chris Jericho shared his views on Edge joining AEW
Edge is highly rumored to join All Elite Wrestling sooner or later. Amid these rumors, WWE veteran and current AEW Superstar Chris Jericho shared his views on Edge’s arrival in the Jacksonville-based promotion on the latest episode of Superstar Crossover.
Chris Jericho expressed that it would be a fresh beginning for Edge. As he said, “For [Edge] to come to AEW, it’d be a whole fresh new coat of paint, a whole new roster of matches that he could have.” Moreover, Jericho said that it would give the Rated R superstar an option, as he has achieved everything there is in WWE.
Jericho left WWE in 2018 and spent time competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling before becoming a big-name signing for AEW in January 2019. He became the inaugural AEW World Champion. Edge’s debut is close to confirmation as of now. It is going to be interesting to see the Rated R superstar in the promotion if he decides to show up.
