“WORST 619 Ever” Fans blast Edge over his execution of Rey Mysterio’s iconic finisher at Clash At The Castle

Edge and Mysterio were teaming after 20 long years and the stage was set as an ecstatic audience was desperately waiting for the team to take on The Judgement Day. The build up to match was already exciting as Edge was facing the stable that he created and Mysterio was also in for a revenge as The Judgement Day had been attacking him and his son Dominik Mysterio for a couple of weeks.

While the match was high on energy, drama and in-ring skills, it also witnessed an iconic moment which is indeed a rare sight. The Rated R Superstar delivered a blistering 619 to Finn Balor in a first. While the move didn’t turn out to be the best one as Edge almost botched it but still managed to pull it off to some extent.

But accolades should be given to The Brood for executing a move requiring insane fitness and flexibility and that too for the first time in his career. But it seems like the fans weren’t quite fascinated by Edge’s 619 attempt as they were quick to note the faults in the execution of the move. Twitter users blasted the WWE legend for a weak attempt at the move as they said that it was the “Worst 619 ever“.

While the fans called it the worst they also enjoyed the moment as it came out of the blue. Some fans even called it a 519, rather than 619 and labelled it as Edge’s adaptation of the finisher. To those who are unaware 519 is Toronto’s code, the hometown of The Rated R Superstar. For some it brought back the memories of the PS2 game where one could use his Tag Team Partner’s finishing maneuver.

Well the whole match was a package of surprises, as the first surprise came off at his entrance as he made way to the ring in a mask which was also a rare sight to witness. Fans believe that Edge did this to pay homage to one of the greatest luchadors of all time i.e. Rey Mysterio. While The Rated R Superstar and Mysterio managed to win the match after receiving some help from Dominik Mysterio at the ringside

The biggest surprise came after the match when Dominik Mysterio turned heel to kick a low blow to Edge and a lariat to his father Rey Mysterio in a shocking turn of events. Now it’ll be interesting to see how things turn out between these three as Mysterio and Edge are still in a dilemma after Dominik’s actions whereas Dominik would also have a story to explain his actions as well.
