WWE has always strived to provide entertainment alongside wrestling to attract fans to its product. There have been many superstars in the company who have entertained the fans with their storylines and gimmicks. One such name is Elias, who returned and debuted with the character of Ezekiel on an episode of Raw, claiming Ezekiel to be his younger brother. However, Ezekiel’s character in the WWE remained short-lived. He disappeared from television following an attack by Kevin Owens. In a recent interview, Elias provided an update on Ezekiel’s health, maintaining kayfabe.

In an interview with WWE Deutschland, WWE Superstar Elias spoke about his younger brother Ezekiel. With a heavy heart, he said that Ezekiel was admitted to the hospital and is still in a coma after the vicious powerbomb by Kevin Owens. He added that his whole family is praying for his recovery. Moreover, the former 24/7 champion also said that he keeps himself away from the hospital to protect himself from breaking down emotionally. “Yeah I gotta be honest with you. The boss is in way more contact with him than I am. He wants to know like when’s he gonna be back, how is he, everything like that. But the truth is all the reports I get is that he’s still in a coma,” Elias said.

Ezekiel debuted on the April 4 episode of Raw last year. He introduced himself as Elias’ younger brother. Ever since his debut, fans have enjoyed his storyline. Therefore, they saw him involved in an interesting storyline with Kevin Owens. The two of them had an intriguing feud on the subsequent episodes of Raw. However, Owens brutally attacked Ezekial on the August 8 episode of Raw during their match. He delivered a ruthless powerbomb to Ezekiel on the apron. As a result, Ezekiel was taken to a local medical facility. Ever since then, the fans have not seen him on WWE television.

According to Elias, his younger brother won’t return any sooner. He is recovering, and his homecoming is obscure as of now. Ezekiel’s departure has paved the way for Elias’s return to WWE television. Now that Ezekiel is gone, it remains to be seen what Elias’s direction will be going into WrestleMania 39.

On the October 18 episode of Monday Night Raw, Elias made his most-awaited return to WWE television. The fans gave him a loud pop on his return. However, since then, the WWE Universe has seen him compete in random matches. The company did not have any pertinent storylines for the returning star. But he kept on entertaining the fans in his segments.

On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Elias competed in a qualifying match against Montez Ford. However, he ended up losing the match. It seems that the company has no plans for Elias. With the amount of support he gets from the fans, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for him.
