Drew McIntyre might have just blown the last chance of getting his hands on a World Title. After a personal and intense build-up, Drew and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins went one-on-one at the Day 1 edition of Raw. 

The outcome was quite frustrating for the Scottish Warrior and for many fans, as Rollins picked up the victory after a Curb Stomp. He retained the title and took his reign to an impressive 219 days. Drew, however, still fell short of achieving his dream to win a world title in front of a live crowd.

During the buildup, the 38-year-old star confronted Rollins and had an emotional back-and-forth with him. Drew mentioned Seth’s wife, Becky Lynch, and said they were both in the same boat. He further warned Rollins that he would do anything to win the title, and he proved it by brutally attacking the champion.

The match was seemingly poised between the two stars until Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest walked out to cash in his contract on an exhausted Rollins. Drew didn’t let that happen and hit a Claymore on Priest, thus avoiding the cash in. However, that didn’t turn out well for him, as Rollins got the time he needed to recover.

Now that Drew has lost a title match once again, it will be interesting to see what his next step will be. Whether he goes after Priest for ruining his chance or whether he will remain focused on the champion, only time will tell. 

Fans react as Drew McIntyre loses yet another World Title match

Seth Rollins defeated Drew McIntyre at the Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw. Drew was distracted by Damian Priest, who was trying to cash in his contract against The Visionary. Rollins, however, took advantage of it and beat Drew by beating him with the Curb Stomp.

Fans expressed their utmost disappointment about Drew constantly failing to win the title. Some fans said he should move to WWE’s rival company, AEW, hoping that he would get his deserved flowers there. Here are some of the top fan reactions:

While some fans praised Rollins by saying he performed well even after a hurting back, some of them revealed they were bored with him always winning. One fan came up with an outrageous solution for Drew: he should steal the MITB briefcase from Priest and cash in on Rollins.

Another fan said Drew should now get out of control and adopt the character of Randy Orton in 2009, where he attacked the general managers and even the McMahon family to get what he wanted. Overall, it was a pretty sympathetic reaction for the Scottish Warrior, as fans expected to see him come out as the new champion.
