Roman Reigns is gradually closing in on 1,000 days as the undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Technically, his WWE title reign has crossed just a year but he has been the Universal champion for nearly three years. Over the course of his Godly reign, The Tribal Chief has conquered almost every big name on the WWE roster. Moreover, WWE still seems hesitant to take the titles away from Roman considering he is at another level right now.
Meanwhile, as great a champion as Roman Reigns is, he is hardly defending the titles on regular occasions. To deal with the circumstances, WWE recently unveiled another World Championship to provide an opportunity for the remaining talent to become a top champion. The new World Heavyweight title was presented by the WWE CCO, Triple H, on Raw.
The Game also acknowledged the fact that Roman might be the greatest champion, but WWE needs a fighting champion who regularly defends the title. However, even after the introduction of the new World Heavyweight Championship, fans feel it will be secondary to the titles Roman has been holding.
As a matter of fact, many fans are even speculating that The Tribal Chief might go on to capture the newly introduced World title as well. If that happens, Roman will be the undisputed WWE Universal World Heavyweight champion.
However, WWE announced that the brand new title would be to crown a champion for another brand following the draft. Therefore, Triple H said that Reigns will take his titles to whichever brand he is drafted to. It will be interesting to follow what’s coming up.
