This week on SmackDown, the WWE Universe saw two Triple Threat matches for the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. It was followed by a semi-final match in the main event of SmackDown. While AJ Styles won the first match, Bobby Lashley emerged victorious in the second triple-threat match.

During this match, Bobby Lashley suffered a cut on his head and started bleeding severely. Despite being covered with blood, The All Mighty still managed to win the triple threat match, qualifying for the semi-final match against Styles. Lashley later went on to face AJ Styles in the main event of the tournament.

During the main event of SmackDown, Bobby Lashley battled AJ Styles. During the match, Lashley eventually reopened his wound. As a result, the WWE Universe was concerned for the All Mighty. NXT superstar Jacy Jayne also injured himself in a match, covering himself in blood. On the other hand, Brock Lesnar also ended up bleeding during his match at Backlash.

Despite bleeding, the Dominator continued the match. However, he lost the match against AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One earned the opportunity to face Seth Rollins in the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
