If there will ever be a list of superstars whose careers started off like a tracer bullet but fell considerably immediately after due to injuries, Finn Balor should top that. A former and first ever Universal Champion in his own rights who had the required skill-set to be company’s top star miserably stumbled due to a devastating shoulder injury.

Balor was the only NXT superstar to receive a main-roster callup during the 2016 draft he was picked by Monday Night Raw. He reached the final stage for determining the inaugural WWE Universal Champion and at Summerslam that year, he defeated Seth Rollins scripting history and captured the title.

It was exactly during this match when Finn suffered a dislocation after he was buckle-bombed on the barricades by Rollins and that fell was purely abrupt. Next night on Raw, he was forced to relinquish his championship. If we analyze his recent years in the company following his return after injury, the things have not been same for him until he became the leader of The Judgement Day, the faction which has been creating carnage on Monday nights.

Finn Balor is set to go one-on-one with the Rated-R Superstar Edge next month at WWE Extreme Rules in an I Quit match and the fans are finally going to witness a singles match between the two. The things have been slowly coming back on track for The Prince as according to the latest report from WrestleVotes, he’s the heavy favourite of current management which is nothing but just the opening of the doors leading towards success for him in foreseeable future.

“I’m told that significant plans are lined up for Finn Balor in the future. I don’t know exactly for what those plans are, but he is a strong favorite of the new leadership group. Expect Finn to play a big role in the foreseeable future of WWE”, the report said.
