“I got the job done”: Former Champion reacts to being attacked by Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has dominated the worlds of judo and Mixed Martial Arts before she arrived in WWE. While her first run with the company came a few years ago, Rousey made her return to the company at the 2022 Royal Rumble PPV. In fact, she went on to win the Women’s over-the-top rope elimination match as well.
Since then, The Baddest Woman on the Planet kicked off a feud against the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. This rivalry has been one of the most brutal feuds of the year – which had some harsh words, harsher brawls and an intense match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
In the co-main event of Wrestlemania Saturday, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair battled for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. The UFC Hall of Famer managed to make Flair tap out, but the referee did not see that. Soon The Queen capitalized on this and went on to earn a pinfall victory over Rousey.
Two of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster, are now scheduled to collide once again at Wrestlemania Backlash. On the latest episode of Smackdown, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair signed the contract for their upcoming match. But Drew Gulak fell victim to a couple of attacks due to this rivalry.
While last week, Flair applied the Figure Eight Lock on Gulak, while this week Rousey applied the Arm Lock on him. Appearing on the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump, where he reacted to these attacks. “Ronda had fireman’s carried me, she is spinning around, she slammed my hip into the ground, which hurt. I’m just trying to get her to sign this contract, I was auditioning to be Adam Pearce’s assistant general manager. I got the job done, as you can see it, and then there she applies the armbar,” mentioned Gulak.
Ronda Rousey will be in action at Wrestlemania Backlash
Wrestlemania Backlash will be following the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 38. In fact the match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair was the first one to be announced for the card. The match will have the Smackdown Women’s Championship on the line, but it is also going to be an I Quit match.
While more matches are expected to be announced in the coming times, the Wrestlemania Backlash card currently includes:
- Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
- RK-Bro vs The Usos (Tag Team Title Unification match)
- AJ Styles vs Edge
- Bobby Lashley vs Omos
- Happy Corbin vs Madcap Moss
