Over the years, the WWE Universe has seen many athletic superstars in the company. One such name who has captivated the fans with his high-flying abilities is John Morrison. The former Intercontinental champion has had quite an incredible run in the company in the past. In a podcast, Morrison said that he would love to go back to WWE for one last run if he saw a potential dream match in the company.

John Morrison returned to WWE in 2019 after eight long years, only to get released within two years. Despite his much-awaited return to WWE, the company didn’t utilize him to his full potential. The former Intercontinental champion was booked with The Miz in the tag team division. Moreover, WWE put him in a storyline for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. However, in November 2021, WWE released Morrison and many other superstars, citing budget cuts.

In a podcast on The Wrestling Perspective, the former WWE star spoke about his future WWE return. He said that he’s more focused on his dream matches at the moment than returning to WWE. Moreover, he stated that he would eventually go back to the company someday, but that is not his primary goal at this time.

“When I left, it would be the first time; it was never a goal to go back; it was in my head that I would go back one day,” he said. Moreover, while speaking in the podcast, John Morrison said that the possibilities of his dream matches are endless. He mentioned superstars like Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and Kota Ibushi and said that he would love to face them in the future.

Therefore, the high-flying superstar stated that he was more focused on fulfilling his dream matches. He also said that if he saw any potential dream match with any WWE superstar, he would definitely return to WWE. However, the fans believe that John Morrison superstar would definitely come back to WWE for one last run.

The charismatic, high-flying superstar returned to WWE in January 2020 and aligned himself with his longtime friend, The Miz. He was a part of some major premium live events in 2020 after his return. It includes the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, Money in the Bank, and WrestleMania 36. Moreover, John Morrison won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship along with The Miz at WWE Super ShowDown.

Moreover, he feuded with some of the prominent WWE stars, such as Big E, Drew McIntyre, Matt Riddle, Sheamus, and Bobby Lashley. Morrison continued to impress the WWE Universe with his high-flying acrobatic abilities in the ring. However, on November 2021, the company released the charismatic superstar under Vince McMahon’s regime.
