“Great end to the week”: Former Superstar Jessica McKay signs an action film
McKay
Jessica McKay, known to the WWE Universe as Billie Kay, is a professional wrestler from Australia. She has been in the business for over a decade now, having debuted in 2007. She soon debuted on the Pro Wrestling Women’s Alliance – where she went on to become a two-time Champion. Unfortunately, she didn’t earn as much success on WWE.
In 2014, McKay earned a WWE tryout – when the company was touring Australia. The following year, she signed on NXT. Her first televised match ended in a loss against Becky Lynch. It was on the gold and black brand where she formed a Tag Team with Peyton Royce – known as The Iconic Duo.
The Tag Team debuted as The IIconincs on the main roster in 2018. Although they appeared regulary on the main roster, the team failed to win any titles throughout their run. Jessica McKay was seen in action at Wrestlemania 37 – which turned out to be her final performance, as she was released from the company in April 2021.
Since being released from the company, Jessica McKay moved to performing on Impact Wrestling. But now it has been revealed that she has another massive project in the works. She has been cast in an upcoming action film titled, The Charisma Killers. The project is written and directed by Michael Matteo Rossi.
It was the director of the film, who took to Twitter to announce the casting on McKay. “Great end to the week as @JessicaMcKay has been cast in my feature film The Charisma Killers in the fall, woo!” – he tweeted.
Jessica McKay has taken a break from professional wrestling
After the non-compete period ended, Jessica McKay, along with Peyton Royce debuted on Impact Wrestling. Here, the duo were known as The IInspiration. They soon went on to win the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
But earlier this week, they requested their release from the company. With the announcement, they revealed that they are going on a hiatus from professional wrestling. The duo mentioned that they will be starting a new chapter in their lives and will be exploring new opportunities.
