More often than not, WWE likes to break up their tag teams to push one of the superstars into singles competitions. This has been evident since the 1980s, when they broke up the Hart Foundation or the Rockers to push Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, respectively. However, former Tag Team Champions The Street Profits made it clear that they do not plan on splitting up anytime soon.
While talking on the Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast, the former Tag Team Champions talked about the possibility of breaking up and the rumors about it. Dawkins and Ford made it clear that they were never approached with any story where the two broke up. However, WWE teased the possibility but never took any concrete steps in that direction.
The two personally do not wish to break up as well. This is because they have great chemistry together and are one of the top stars in the tag division of the company. They talked about teams like The Usos and The New Day, who have been together for most of their careers and have never broken up.
During their SummerSlam program last year, they lost the match to The Usos. It was heavily speculated that they might break up after the match and Montez Ford would be pushed in singles competition. However, it never came to fruition, as the team continued to be together even after the event.

The Street Profits plan on holding Tag Team Championship by the end of the year
While talking on the same podcast, the former Champions talked about their plans for the year. They also talked about Bobby Lashley and what exactly is happening between them. Lashley has been meeting The Street Profits for a couple of weeks, and the three have been teasing an alliance. Ford and Dawkins shed some light on the matter.
They said that they are sick and tired of not getting the spotlight even after giving their best. Therefore, they do not mind exploring other ways to get the championship gold back to them. The two also talked about Lashley and said that he has a plan brewing and that fans will get to know about it soon.
The Street Profits also promised on the podcast that they are done playing nice, will target the tag titles soon, and will hold the championship by the end of the year. The exact date cannot be scheduled as Kevin Owens, who is the tag team champion currently, is injured and is out of action.
