Why Stephanie McMahon left WWE
Stephanie McMahon was an integral part of the WWE for the better part of the past few decades. She was the Chairwoman and co-CEO of the company after her father, Vince McMahon, retired from his roles in July 2022 in light of the serious allegations against him.
However, her term was short-lived. Six months later, Vince returned to his post, citing his intentions to sell the business as a factor. Subsequently, he was voted back in as chairman, leading to his daughter being demoted. Stephanie McMahon instead resigned from the WWE, with the main reason listed as spending more time with her family.
Many reports, including the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, pointed out a hint of friction between father and daughter. With them stating that the billion-dollar princess was “heartbroken” at how her team was dismantled. According to a few rumors, Nick Khan and Triple H had to play the peacemaker roles to avoid any tension between the two.
