Mercedes Mone has become a Talk of the Town. Since her NJPW debut, she’s on everyone’s tongue. According to an official stat, Mone coming on-board, helped NJPW gain 40,000 new subscribers on their YouTube channel. However, The Boss is used to move numbers at a far bigger stage than this.
What she needs to care about is the kind of viable opponents who’re lurking somewhere around her. One of them is former WWE Superstar Taya Valkyrie aka Franky Monet. Most of the NXT viewers must’ve heard of Franky Monet. She performed on that brand for quite a while. However, before making it to the main-roster, she got released.
She currently performs at Impact Wrestling. In a recent conversation with Comedy Store Wrestling podcast, John Morrison’s better-half revealed her dream opponent. And so by the guess, it’s none other than Mercedes Mone. The reason being, Franky admires the level of respect for Lucha Libre within Mercedes. To conclude, Monet said that’s all what matters for her and she’d seemingly like to have a shot at The Blueprint.
“Well I’m gonna say her and she’s now out in the world and free to play. She has a huge respect for Lucha libre, which for me is very important and something that I hold dear and close to my heart. So why not Mercedes Mone? Mercedes, you know where to find me.”

Whom is Mercedes Mone facing first in NJPW?

Mone arrived in NJPW on January 4th at the Wrestle Kingdom 17 event. The entire Tokyo Dome got lit through her gracious presence. Before wasting much time, she quickly confronted the IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI. After an obvious staredown, The CEO of Women’s division challenged her for the title on February 18th.
It’s now official that Mercedes Mone and KAIRI will collide for the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW: Battle in the Valley pay-per-view on February 18th. And to another positive effect, the venue of the aforementioned event has already been sold out, well in advance.
Well as evident as it can get, Mone is already off to a hot start in Japan. Things will get spicy if she shows up tonight on AEW Dynamite as Saraya’s mystery partner. Despite some recent rejections, she’s expected for the occasion. By the end of the day, the fate of Wrestling Twitter depends on her current AEW status. If she really debuts, fans will have something to tweet about, else the Vince McMahon/Saudi Arabia story.
