On 13th January 2024, TNA hosted its Hard to Kill PPV. Stacked with marquee matches, fans also witnessed the Knockouts Championship being put on the line. It was the former WWE Superstar, Trinity defending it against the powerhouse, Jordynne Grace. After a hard-hitting contest, the latter came on top as the new champion.

Grace entered the bout as someone on a mission. Utilizing her power advantage, she hit Trinity with several slams and suplexes. Trinity was no short in her efforts as she utilized several signature moves to get the upper hand, but despite her best efforts, the pump-handle slam by Grace sealed the deal. This will be Grace’s third title reign.

It seems this loss taken by Trinity has some more implications to it than simply losing her title. For a while, there has been a major speculation that she is bound for WWE. Her much-awaited return could take place at the Royal Rumble 2024.

All in all, it was a high-stakes match for Trinity. Even her close friends from her time in WWE, Bayley, and the free agent sensation, Sasha Banks, were present in the audience. For now, fans are excited to see whether a return to WWE is on the pages for Trinity or not.

Trinity waves goodbye to TNA Fans after her loss at Hard to Kill

Trinity aka Naomi, and Sasha Banks walked away from WWE in 2022. It was on the pretext of unsatisfactory booking. While Sasha took the gimmick of Mercedes Mone and showed her skills in Japan, Trinity joined TNA. She not only made herself a big addition to the roster but even won the Knockouts Championship.

Having a reign of 180 days, she cemented herself by defeating the likes of Deonna Purrazzo. After the match was over, Trinity had an emotional hug with the new champion, Jordynne Grace. She whispered some words and then could be seen breaking into tears. The video can be checked out below.

For a deserving former champion, she received a fine standing ovation from the audience. Trinity looked around and then waved everyone an emotional goodbye. Time will tell whether a rematch awaits Trinity down the line or is it the final goodbye.
