Former WWE Women’s Champion officially announces return from retirement after 4 years, date of first match revealed
Recently, a former WWE superstar announced her much-awaited return to pro wrestling after four years with a post on X.

Impact Wrestling has been decorating its arsenal for its upcoming big show called Impact 1000. The wrestling promotion is about to mark its first thousand episodes in the upcoming weeks. Recently, another big name was announced to be featured in the show. Former WWE Women’s Champion Gail Kim will be making her long-awaited in-ring return at Impact 1000.
Kim will be making her wrestling return after four years. She will be competing in a Tag Team match with her partner. Awesome Kong. Their opponents are yet to be announced for the event. Impact Wrestling announced this big news on X. Gail Kim appeared in a promo video where she called for all Knockouts past and present to stand with them or against them.
Gail Kim has been a big name in Impact Wrestling. Her last match was at the Impact Rebellion in April 2019. She had a match with Tessa Blanchard, which she lost after submitting to her. Previously, Kim has said in her interviews that she plans her return to be perfect. Gail Kim has competed against formidable names throughout her career, like Mickie James, Maryse and Natalya.
It will be interesting to see if this return after four long years will stand up to expectations. Her fans are waiting for Kim to make her triumphant return, as her opponents are yet to be announced. Gail Kim was one of the legendary divas in WWE. She is known as one of the finest divas to ever step foot in the ring. Gail began her wrestling career in the year 2000 in the independent circuits. Later, she joined WWE in the year 2002, which was a lackluster run before she joined TNA in the year 2004.
Kim had an amazing run in TNA as she became the inaugural TNA Women’s Knockout Champion in October 2007. She returned to WWE in the year 2008 to have another decent run in the company. Moreover, she made her first WrestleMania appearance at WrestleMania 25.
Gail Kim rejoined TNA to in 2011. In 2012, Pro Wrestling Illustrated named her as the number one female wrestler in the world. Kim was announced as the first ever female inductee in the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame in the year 2016. In these years, she also won a Women’s Championship in WWE as well. Gail Kim is regarded as one of the greatest of all time by many.
