“It Eats Me Inside” WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg Wants His Revenge Against Roman Reigns

When you talk about The Powerhouses in WWE, you know you have to bring Goldberg to the discussion. The 55-yr old WWE legend, though officially retired doesn’t want to hang up his boots yet. Starting with an undefeated streak in WCW, Goldberg rose to fame pretty quickly and became one of the most talked about wrestling personalities in the 90s. Often credited with the invention of the iconic move spear, Goldberg was a force to reckon with in his prime.
After WWE bought WCW in 2001, Goldberg debuted for the company in 2004, dominated the heavyweight division, and also won the World Heavyweight Championship. After staying away from the company for almost 12 years Goldberg finally returned to the company in 2016 and started his pursuit of the WWE Universal Championship which he ultimately won.
Goldberg Wants To Face The Current Champion Roman Reigns To Get His Revenge
He also became the cover star for WWE 2K17 and started a feud with The Beast Brock Lesnar, and defeated him within 1 minute 26 seconds in a major upset. Though he lost the title to Lesnar at WrestleMania and wished his fans a farewell before being inducted into The Hall of Fame in 2018. The former WWE Universal Champion would then challenge The Fiend for a Universal Championship match, which he won, winning the title for the second time.
He has then scheduled a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania which was then called off because of the pandemic. He then lost the championship to Brawn Stroman and then engaged in feuds with the likes of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns. In his last WWE appearance, Goldberg had lost to Roman Reigns via submission. It now seems that the 55-year-old former Universal Champion is looking out for revenge.
After expressing his desire to make a return to the company, Goldberg has now revealed that he wants to face The Head Of The Table to get his revenge. Speaking in a recent interview with The Bleacher Report, the Hall of Former expressed his desire to give the current undisputed World Champion a beatdown. Goldberg said- “It doesn’t eat at me by any stretch of the imagination, but it eats at me, 100 percent,” he said jokingly.
“Roman and I were on a collision course for a long period of time. It never happened when it would have been the best, but to say anyone that beats me doesn’t deserve to have their a*s kicked afterward, I’d be a liar if I said anything other than that.” (H/T Bleacher Report). While Roman Reigns faces Brock Lesnar in a championship match at SummerSlam, it would be interesting to see the former Universal Champion make a return and get his hands on the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
