Do not sleep on this man. Having tested positive for COVID-19 just hours before last week’s SmackDown, LA Knight seems to be on the right track. For those who aren’t aware, he was to rescue John Cena from a 2-on-1 ambush courtesy of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso during the contract signing. Earlier on, AJ Styles got obliterated by the Bloodline duo in a backstage sneak attack.

After that, fans were expecting someone to come out and save John Cena from the jaws of a vicious beatdown. However, the beacon of hope in LA Knight bore no fruit, as unavoidable circumstances took him out of the picture. Now that it’s all said and done, a week later, there’s finally some good news on The Megastar. According to PW Insider, the 40-year-old will return on tonight’s edition of SmackDown from Sacramento.

If this turns out to be true, what a delight it would be! Knight is a warrior, and he wasn’t going down to some misery. Having said that, WWE is yet to announce a segment featuring his rumored soon-to-be partner, John Cena. WWE’s social media handles may have an update by this afternoon about what the fans should expect from the ongoing Cena-Bloodline tale, with Knight in the mix.

WWE has already announced that Cena will face Solo and Jimmy in a 2-on-1 Handic*p match at WWE Fastlane. However, it just might not stay the same as a certain Megastar is lurking in the bushes. In recent weeks, Paul Heyman has had his eyes on LA Knight. So, it’s likely that Knight would poke his nose in The Bloodline’s business.

LA Knight is visibly on the rise in WWE

Back in April, if someone had said that WWE would go all-out with LA Knight, it would’ve been like drawing the longbow. Based on his dismal booking a few months ago, fans had already lost hope. However, the constant swell in Knight’s merchandise sales and ratings spike during his segments led to a drastic overhaul.

The management is firmly behind Megastar as he’s slated to team up with 16-time World Champion John Cena, hopefully soon enough. Due to Knight’s unavailability at last weekend’s house shows, WWE even offered refunds in case some fans had solely bought the ticket to come see the former Eli Drake.

This is something that happens only with the company’s top stars, and the fact that WWE did the same for LA Knight tells everything. Well, who knows if he might be an early favorite for next year’s Royal Rumble match? Whether that happens or not, he could potentially have a spot on the WrestleMania card in Philadelphia.
