WWE will come across their last stop on the Road to WrestleMania 40 at the upcoming PLE, Elimination Chamber. The 2024 Royal Rumble winner, Cody Rhodes, will be hosted by Grayson Waller on The Grayson Waller Effect. The World Heavyweight champion, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, will also be joining them during the segment. 

However, Waller did not waste any time taunting Rhodes. The 33-year-old star took a brutal jab on his X account at The American Nightmare for his inability to “finish the story.” This comes after the popular Superstar failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, where he fell to Roman Reigns.

The Aussie Icon’s next move is something that everyone is unsure about. Given his personality, Waller might try to pit the new allies against each other. Adding to the chaos, the SmackDown superstar was seen chatting with Paul Heyman during the recent episode on Friday.

Many rumors suggest that the pair will challenge The Bloodline duo of Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania 40. The Kickoff event and subsequent trailer for the show added to the speculation as the tag team match has been heavily teased. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how things play out on The Grayson Waller Effect this Saturday.

The history between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have been on friendly terms lately, considering their recent interactions with each other on Monday Night Raw. The Visionary offered to be his former rival’s “shield” as the Road to WrestleMania became more complicated for him. Evidently, the duo’s mutual respect and dislike for Roman Reigns have gotten them to develop this friendship.

Interestingly, Rollins openly expressed his anger and frustration after Cody returned to WWE in 2022. The pair had an intense trilogy, which ended with The American Nightmare coming out on top on every occasion. However, over the course of the past year, things have changed between the two.

After their rivalry against Judgment Day, their bond has become much stronger. Furthermore, the WrestleMania Kickoff event ended with Cody and Rollins side-by-side against The Bloodline. Now, it seems that the duo will have to pull double duty at the Showcase of Immortals, as they will likely team up during the event.
