There's a saying which says, 'if someone ain't broke, don't fix it'. The current Intercontinental Champion Gunther believes the same for his stable - The Imperium.

Gunther believes Imperium is perfect (via- Wrestling Headlines)
Ever since debuting on the main-roster last June, Gunther has been booked like an absolute force of nature. On 10th of this month, he completed 1 year as the Intercontinental Champion. With that achievement, he’s become the longest-reigning champion of the modern era holding that strap. Gunther believes in discipline and worships the sport of professional wrestling as his utmost priority.
That being said, his stablemates of Imperium viz. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci too operate on the same principle. These men have been wrecking havoc since past 9 months of WWE. Even before joining the main-roster, Imperium was a dominant figure on NXT UK. At that juncture, the European group had Alexander Wolfe as their 4th member. However, he got released in May 2021.
Nevertheless, the main-roster audience are witnessing a new and more vicious version of Imperium in front of them. Many fans wonder if the group will ever add members. Wiping away all the speculation, Gunther has himself answered the query. While speaking to Steve Fall, The Ring General squashed down any such idea. According to him, the stable is operating pretty efficiently and doesn’t needs an unnecessary addition.
“No, I think it’s perfect how it is. I’m a big believer in ‘never change a running system.’ I think too much in and out can water a group down a little bit. We’re all together for a reason, nothing’s random. We are all tightly connected in our private lives too, especially with Kaiser. Our careers went the same way since we started. There’s a history of that group a long time before WWE, so it’s something that was just authentically there. As of right now, I feel like it’s good how it is.”
Who will face Gunther at WWE Money in the Bank?

Over the past few weeks on Raw, the Imperium has traded barbs with Matt Riddle. Shortly ago, Gunther approached Riddle to let him know that he’s gunning for The Original Bro to win this year’s Money in the Bank contract. However, that cannot happen anymore as Riddle has failed to qualify for the ladder match.
This week, Damian Priest crushed Riddle’s aspirations to make it to London. After their match, Gunther and Kaiser launched a 2-on-1 ambush over an already laid out Bro. If the stars are aligning properly, WWE is heading towards a singles clash between Gunther & Riddle.
With Money in the Bank on the horizon, fans wouldn’t have to wait for long. Also, Riddle took out Giovanni Vinci last week during a backstage altercation. This would not sit well with the Intercontinental Champion at all. The Austrian will be looking to chop the flesh out of Matt Riddle’s chest at the O2 arena in London.
