As we head closer to WWE Clash at the Castle, things are certainly getting heated up in some fashion. The company will present their Friday Night Smackdown double-tapings from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit tonight. As far as the double-header is concerned, WWE will pre-tape next week’s go-home edition of Smackdown tonight itself so as to leave for the United Kingdom as early as possible, quite possibly the next day after wrapping up this Monday’s Raw taping in Pittsburgh.
Tonight’s show has been stacked up with some major matches having high implications and a night return is also announced. Talking about the in-ring action first, the Women’s Tag-Team Tournament will see a Last-chance Fatal-4-way match between Natalya & Sonya Deville, Xia Li & Shotzi, Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H and Tamina & Dana Brooke plus Ricochet seeks venegence against Happy Corbin in addition to a massive main-event between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn where the Honorary Uce will have a one more chance at proving his loyalty to The Bloodline.
JBL is set for a Special Appearance for tonight’s WWE Smackdown Tapings
Fightful Select have revealed the complete lineup for Smackdown behind their paywall and we have some really tasty stuff coming your way. As far as tonight’s show goes, Corbin vs. Ricochet will open and Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn will close in addition to New Day’s return. The most notable thing that Fightful revealed was the appearance from WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield who is slayed to be in programming for next week’s Smackdown which is set to be taped tonight itself. It will be interesting to see what JBL have in store for us when he craps you a river Snowflakes.
