Happy Corbin has been one of the prominent figures in WWE today, he has certainly made a name for himself in the wrestling world. The Former Footballer was signed to WWE in 2012 and was then assigned to its developmental system NXT and made his in-ring debut at a NXT house show, where he fought against Dante Dash but lost the match. Happy Corbin was utilized as enhancement talent thereafter for two years and then re-debuted as a face character in September 2014. Corbin wrestled at NXT for two years during which he also portrayed as a heel. He made his main roster debut in 2016 on RAW Brand.

As of now, Happy Corbin has been involved in a rivalry with his Indianapolis Colts teammate Pat McAfee and will face him at Summerslam in a singles match. Pat’s last match was against Theory at WrestleMania 38 and he was successful in defeating him, while also impressing the WWE Universe with his moves. After the match Vince McMahon challenged McAfee for a bout and defeated him with the help of Theory. The match has now also proved to be Vince’s last match.

During an interview with “Bleav in Pro Wrestling”, Happy Corbin recalled about the time, he spent at the Colts with Pat McAfee. Corbin claimed to be a member of the practice squad for the bubble, and Pat McAfee had an apartment. In addition, Corbin said that playing football for the Indianapolis Colts wasn’t his style of play and that he didn’t want to find a home for himself or sign a lease at that time. He claimed to be 330 pounds with a 19.5 inch neck and a hard-nosed head down eyes closed pulling guard, which earned him the position of left tackle.

Happy Corbin claimed that he was a better player just because of his toughness and expressed his fear of being fired from the squad. Corbin said that he stayed with Pat at his apartment and that the two of them played golf nearly every day while there. He also said they kept in touch after that.

In the same interview, Happy Corbin discussed about his wrestling retirement and his plans after retiring from the squared circle. Happy Corbin said that he has some good friends in the Food Network world and that Chef Aaron is one of his good buddies. Happy Corbin said that Aaron is always on the Guy’s Grocery Games, and indicated that he wants to get involved in the food industry after retiring from wrestling. In his final statement, Corbin predicted that he would likely remain in the wrestling business for the next 5 to 10 years. He cited the fact that, like other athletes, the body eventually loses the ability to perform at a high level.

“Most definitely. I’ve made some good buddies from the Food Network world, and Chef Aaron May is one of my good buddies. He’s always on Guy’s Grocery Games. I want to have another five or 10 years here in WWE, but eventually, like all athletes, at some point, our body doesn’t keep up with our mind anymore.”

SummerSlam will take place on this Saturday at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
