WWE Superstar Jey Uso has been riding high ever since he decided to sever his ties with The Bloodline. Jey made his shocking return to WWE on September 2 at Payback as the newest addition to Monday Night Raw. Now, reports speculate that the head honchos are keeping an eye out on the new member of the RAW roster.
According to BWE via Ringside News, the loud and reverberating reactions Jey Uso is getting on Monday Night Raw has extremely pleased the WWE officials. The positive fan reactions align with the expectations of the people in the back and could be conducive to his future with the red brand.
Cody Rhodes brought Main Event Jay to Monday Night Raw at Payback. The 38-year-old superstar is shaking up things on the roster and is in multiple angles with several WWE top stars. On the other hand, Jimmy Uso is still heavily featured on SmackDown. Moreover, he is trying to crawl his way back into The Bloodline.
Jey Uso kicked off this week’s edition of RAW with a thunderous reaction from the crowd. It is conspicuous, as WWE is injecting the former Bloodline member into significant angles on the red brand. Main Event Jey will battle Drew McIntyre next week on RAW.
Matt Hardy explains why splitting Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso was a bad decision
Jey Uso had one of the biggest matches of his career at SummerSlam 2023. When Jey seemed to have the upper hand over Roman Reigns in the match, a masked Jimmy came out of nowhere and superkicked him, allowing Reigns to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
On the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, former WWE superstar Matt Hardy revealed his thoughts on the split of The Usos. Hardy said that The Usos are valuable as a team and that he would rather not see them feuding against each other.
“I would rather have not seen Jimmy turn on Jey, in the big scheme of things. I loved the fact that the Usos had been such an important part of the story, I loved the fact that they had each other’s back,” the pro wrestling veteran said.
This is the first time since their debut that The Usos have split up. Jey was recently added to the RAW roster, while Jimmy remains a major part of SmackDown. Speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sports, The Uso brothers once expressed their desire to face each other at WrestleMania.
