Hulk Hogan is a legendary wrestler in WWE and a 2-time Hall of Famer. He has won many championships and headlined lots of WrestleMania in his illustrious career. Recently, in a podcast, the WWE legend revealed that his good friend Macho Man Randy Sav*ge was driving him cr*zy because of a particular thing.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, the Hulkster shared a hilarious incident that happened between him and Randy Sav*ge. Hulk Hogan and Randy Sav*ge were best friends in real life. The former said that he was fortunate enough to meet him before he died. Both legends once met a friend and bought a Lamborghini from him. Shortly after, Macho Man called Hulk Hogan, asking for a refund on the car because his hat box didn’t fit in the car.
Randy asked Tony if would you sell me the black Lambo that looks like Don Johnson's. So Tony was like ya Randy I would sell it to you. Randy calls me up hey Hogan, I got screwed up. My hat box won't fit in the front of the car, I want my money back. I had to call Tony and say brother would you please give this guy his money back, he's gonna drive me crazy.Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan and Randy Sav*ge had many memorable moments in the ring too. They were part of one of the biggest main events in history at WrestleMania 5. At the event, the two mega powers fought each other for the WWE championship. Hogan got the better of Randy on that day. Both legends will have a special place in all wrestling fans’ hearts.
Hulk Hogan regretted using his finisher move in his wrestling days
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his podcast, Hulk Hogan revealed that he regrets doing the Leg Drop. The WWE legend said that he should’ve used some other move as a finisher. Hogan shared that when he started wrestling in 1977, the equipment was not as efficient as it is today.
The ring in Baltimore, in which Hogan wrestled Andre the Giant, was one of the most dangerous rings he had ever been in. Because of the poor condition of the ring, whenever Hogan performed the leg drop, it hurt his back and legs more. He further added that he should’ve used the Sleeper Hold finisher.
When I wrestled in Baltimore, it was a 22-foot boxing ring and it was like a concrete road that had bumps and holes in it and lumps, I mean it was the most dangerous ring I'd ever been in... I should've used the Sleeper, no bumps.Hulk Hogan
The WWE Hall of Famer admitted that if he had chosen to do the Sleeper Hold, his body would’ve been in much better condition now. Nonetheless, many fans would disagree with it because, with time, the Leg Drop turned out to be one of the most iconic finishers of all time.
